Deep down, you’re still dealing with the ordinary struggles—control, insecurity, comparison, fear, anger, and unforgiveness—that hold you back from living free and loving well. - Video Session summaries
o Session One: Control (20:00)— Fear and pride are often the deepest motivators behind our control issues. But when we choose to embrace full surrender and trust God to respond regularly, instantly, and specifically in our lives, we will experience great joy and fulfillment in him.
o Session Two: Insecurity (21:38)— Our deepest insecurities often reveal our most tempting idols. By identifying those insecurities, we have an opportunity to course correct and fix our minds of the promises of Christ and embrace security in him.
o Session Three: Comparisons (23:51)— Comparisons love to keep us out of real relationships by treating everyone as competition. Quitting comparisons starts with a healthy humility and a grateful heart.
o Session Four: Fear (20:31)— Anxiety’s greatest victory is keeping us from being present, but God searches for us and wants to soothe us with his own presence when we are afraid. Getting free from anxiety is a discipline of the mind, and there are many practical steps we can take to face our fears.
o Session Five: Anger (19:17)— Anger is our warning light that something is wrong. Once anger takes root, it chokes out love. But we have a choice to make in anger. We can acknowledge our poverty of spirit and invite God to stand in that place with us, or we can turn toward resentment.
o Session Six: Unforgiveness (19:21)— Unforgiveness weighs on our souls. We want God to be merciful toward our sin and just to those who sin against us. We must realize we have been forgiven much to find the strength to forgive others.
